Auburn Hills Basement Water Damage Cleanup

Flooded basements and crawlspaces can present more challenges than top level spaces in Auburn Hills. Over the years, we have seen all sorts of basement flooding situations - from puddles on an unfinished floor to an entire finished basement under several feet of water. Most Auburn Hills water damage basement issues are usually caused by 1" - 2" inches of water that has gotten in. Excessive rain can over saturate the ground, resulting in leaks and even cracks throughout the basement. Frozen, broken, and burst pipes are more susceptible to happen in basements due to the pressure and temperature difference within the basement.  But if the basement is finished, that's enough to cause thousands of dollars in damage. Wet drywall and carpets will often have to be replaced. If not dried our properly, the probability of mildew is extremely high. Auburn Hills basement flooding is not just an inconvenience, it's also a health hazard to you physically and mentally.

Fixing Your Broken, Burst, & Frozen Pipes

Winter can be the most devastating time of year for Auburn Hills water damage. Over a quarter of a million American homes each year will suffer from damage due to frozen or burst pipes. Water pipe bursts are common in areas of extreme winter cold and high winds that drive the wind chill well below freezing temperatures. Pipes that lack proper insulation and are exposed to the winter’s cold are far more likely to create a need for restoration. Auburn Hills homes that are left vacant with no regulating of heat or poorly insulated walls can be a common culprit of frozen water pipes and frozen water lines in the winter time. Broken pipes can also be common cause of water damage, causing gallons of water to come flooding through your living rooms, bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom.

A frozen, broken or leaky pipe are all inconveniences that can lead to major headaches for your Auburn Hills home. Ignoring these repairs can be extremely costly as water damage can lead to an unstable structure and damage of your valuables. If you are experiencing a burst or frozen pipe or any other flooding, give us a call as soon as possible.
